Where the Mamas Sleep

Our bedroom has a queen size bed, one little side table and not much else! I took these pictures in the summer so we had this ginormous air conditioner in the window. At the time Tove was 8 months pregnant and the little window one we had downstairs didn’t do much to cool down the lofts. While the AC was an eye sore, Tove and I were really grateful to finally  able to sleep in the random intense heat that we got last summer. I am fully aware that 8 month pregnant Tove was having a completely different night of sleep than I was!

I spent a lot of time perusing Pinterest trying to find just the right bedroom set up so I got all of these cute pillows and piled them up on the bed...Am I the only one that isn't quite sure if Pinterest is more of a hindrance than a help in accomplishing things these days?!?

Under any circumstances  I’m pretty sure that this many decorative pillows are completely pointless  but in a tiny house they are so  much more ridiculous. Right now the pillows have been moved to the foot of the bed and are kind of a comfy resting spot for Iver when hes hanging out up there. I want to take this moment to publicly admit something to my wife.
Tove-You were right. I was wrong. All of these throw pillows are dumb. I love you.

Our mattress is from Tuft and Needle . It was made in the US and they offer a 100 night guarantee. I love it!! Its really comfortable, affordable, and most importantly it can go directly on the floor!

At the foot of the bed we have pictures of our babies. The first one is Iver and the last one is of our sweet Audrey and Button. Audrey and Button are in the center now that Dagneys picture is down there as well.

I made the weaving about a year ago when I thought I was going to be some master weaver. This is one of my favorites that I made. I took a class at Workshop PDX.  Workshop
PDX is this really cute gift shop and community workshop in Portland. It was a really fun class and I had a great time! I have let weaving take a back burner though as I’ve really started sewing for Dagney! I'm now going to post a shameless photo of my cutie in a romper I made!

It’s a pretty simple and basic set up in our room. We don’t spend much time in here so we try and keep it relatively open as it’s a bit cramped even without anything in it.

We're almost finished with  all of the spaces! I will hopefully have Ivers loft up in the next few days!

xoxo Gwen

  2. Super cute setup! I like the airiness and light in this space. I, too, love the look of a lot of pillows. And yet... they all just go to the foot of the bed or on the ground! lol.
